Jerry DeVore

Jerry has a wide range of abilities.  Classically, he has been a full-time member of three Symphonic Orchestras.  He also used his classical abilities touring with the United States Air Force Heartland of America Band, and his jazz abilities touring with that group’s jazz big band.  Jerry’s experience includes performing as a full-time member of an R&B band, called the Confidentials (named as Brides Magazine as one of the top wedding bands in the nation).

Jerry has performed as a soloist with the Dallas Brass accompanied by full orchestra.  Other notable artists include: Curtis Fuller, Wynton Marsalis, Gladys Knight, and Lenny Pickett to name a few.

His abilities go beyond performance.  Jerry designed a music technology program for Iowa Western and was a full-time college instructor leading the program.  He has been an educator at workshops, master classes, and jazz camps.

Arranging and composing are also listed.  Jerry has arranged music for the Air Force Band and recently had a piece premiered in New York City.

Jerry is currently a New York Freelance Musician and is continuing his education at New York University.
